McGill Personal Statement Limit

Hello!

I am wondering if someone can explain to me exactly what the limit on the McGill personal statement is... here is an excerpt from the page online:

"Applicants must write an essay (two single- or double-spaced typed pages) in either English or French..."

I am having trouble discerning what the limit actually is... afterall two single-spaced (i.e. four double spaced) and two double-spaced pages are very different amounts.

2 single-spaced pages would be the limit.
I think they basically don't want to deal with flipping through pages more than 2. Single or double spaced doesn't seem to be an issue, from that excerpt.

Strad, I didn't think you were applying to McGill.
And yeah, I think 2 pages double spaced is the bare minimum. I think for McGill don't be afraid to approach 2 pages single spaced if you will write a very serious amount about why you want to go to McGill. Mine was 2 pages 11 pt font 1.4 spacing I think.
