I applied to Texas Tech in Early November, right after the early decision deadline, and I received my acceptance letter in mid January.  I applied to SMU in late November and was accepted in early February.  I applied to numerous other Texas schools in early to mid November as well- no reponses yet.  Good luck!

I'd go to South Texas.  It's a solid program and well respected in the Houston area.  The risk isn't worth a year of your legal life, especially if you have another solid option.  Congrats on the South Texas acceptance!

STCL has a decent rep i think.

The attorneys I know would put it on par with Tech. The earnings are about the same for Baylor, Tech, STCL. With employment percentage slightly lower for STCL than the other two.

However the only downside (I think) to STCL is the price. They are quite expensive. If you can deal with the money then for go for it, but then you've pretty much got to do private practice to pay off loans etc. and then place pretty well in the class-- like with any law school that isnt in the top 'tier'.

Go for it if you're up for it. ;) Good luck in any case. I think I'm picking Tech. Middle of nowhere but cheap.
