yeah, depends on where you want to end up practicing.
all things being equal, apply to both and see who offers $$$

Where I want to work = It depends. Helpful, I know.

I am actually currently in school but looking at trasnferring. If I were to get into both of these I am not sure what I would do.

FSU would be cheap (resident), the move would be less logistically crazy, overall money wise FSU is the better choice (COL, tuition, husband's job, etc). But we eventually would want to be back in DC at some point (not sure when.. I would be happy working in Tallahassee for a while too)

Rankings wise, they are close so I wanted to get some thoughts from the ranking whores on this side of the board ;)

thanks

Sounds like FSU is the better choice for now. You'll probably have to work there for a few years after you finish, but if you work for the government or a firm that does government work, I'd imagine you'd put yourself in a good situation to move up to DC.

Maryland's law school is in Baltimore which could potentially be a very bad commute or a bad neighborhood depending on where you decide to live.  If I were you I'd stay in Florida, see if I could get a federal government job and and then once you were interested in making the move back up to DC you'd then have government status and would be more competitive.  Just my two cents.

So all other things being equal, you (collective, rankings whores = you) don't think I should go to Maryland just because it is slightly higher ranked?

Good comments... keep them coming!
