Blueb, you should try to learn to enjoy fruits and vegetables (other than potatoes and corn).  Good nutrition and exercise are much more important for your health than being "normal" weight.  See, e.g., http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/293/15/1861 , http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?sec=health&res=9E02E6DB1731F937A15753C1A9669C8B63 .
That's cool how you referenced a case.

Blech?

Your loss, buddy. You gotta get friendly with some spices. Fruit can be used just like most good spices. Adds a little kick and paunch to your meal.

Love it.

So for you, we should get a lightly carmalized apple (use light brown sugar instead of caro) blended into red wine and white vinegar to baste a sidelong cut of ham or a skewer of potatoes and steak bits.

I'm hungry. :-[

That's scary, but like the end of the article says, it's exercise that counts.

People who are "in shape" are most likely doing something to be that way.  So they probably aren't the ones with the lifestyles that will cause them to pack on pounds.

There's plenty of skinny people who aren't in shape.

My BMI is 23.6, so on the higher end of normal, but I think the whole thing is BS. I'm in much better shape that some of my itty bitty, size 0 friends who don't ever exercise and think that frosting from the can is a major food group.

In the end, all that matters it that you're happy with yourself- some of us don't WANT to be pin-thin!  ;D
