The book or the movie? Or both? I thought the book was entertaining sometimes if way, way too long-winded.

I'm pretty sure this is in the "Personal Statement" part of LSD.

I still think Anna made a mistake and meant to put "Bad PS" at the top of it instead of "Good PS".

It's a f-ing laundry list.

Okay. My bad. I thought you were talking about "All The Pretty Horses."

Tries to slowly slink into a corner...

It's ok. That book is how the PS gets it's title.

i just read that ps in ivey's book.  i also think it blows and cannot comprehend how it was one of the few examples of good PSs she chose to include in her book.

i'm thinking about asking her in her vault.com column...

Huh?  I thought this PS was good.  It makes the reader like the writer...

The appropriateness of Perpetua would probably depend on the tone of the writing.  When I used it, I (half playfully) thought the extra space made the words sort of resonate.

Maybe, but you don't learn anything about the writer except that he/she likes to read a lot of books and include his/her commentary of said books in a personal statement for a law school application.  It's boring.  And what's with the last sentence? "They rest now on my bookshelf, their pristine spines a lsting testament to the power of film."

blah

I think it's a ridiculous personal statement.
