Am I being unrealistic?

I'd love to make it to a top tier school, but I just can't seem to break a 160 on any of my practice tests. I've got a UG GPA of 3.6 from a small unknown private college. Worked 1 year in the state legislature and 2 as a legal assistant. Great LORs and PS but no ECs.
So far applying to:
UT-Austin (my dream....)
Washington-Seattle
American
UC-Hastings
USD
Houston
Miami
Denver
Colorado-Boulder
Do you think I have a decent chance at any of these schools or do I need more safety schools?

if you can't break 160, then you're probably not going to get into UT, but you might as well try if you're in state. The other schools look good though.

Did you take the LSAT in Sept, or waiting till Dec? I think you're being a -little- unrealistic, but not ridiculously. Just be sure you have a safety school or two and hope for some really great LORs and PS. Good luck!

Thanks for the honest advice!
I'm holding out for the Dec. test and currently have a tutor to help with the LG section. I know there's still time to get my score up, so with a lot of work and a little luck.. What do you think I'd need to get for a good shot at UT??
I'm thinking Texas Tech for a safety.
