Does anyone have any tips, questions to ask oneself, and/or advice on how to begin the personal statement.  I really have no idea what to write about or even where to begin.

I found Anna Ivey's "Ivey Guide to Law School Admissions" very helpful. There's a brainstorming exercise in the back.

Another thing to do is just do some freewriting. Think about your background and why you want to go to law school. Turn on your computer and just start typing. Some ideas may emerge and out of this, a topic. You can then draft some sort of outline and write around it. Your PS shouldn't be your entire life story, but it needs to be about YOU. Avoid cliches like quoting someone famous or stating that you always knew you wanted to be a lawyer, pre-college anecdotes, or anything cutesy like writing a poem or skit.

A PS may emerge after several attempts, and the final product is the result of many edits. I'm always happy to read and critique when you have a draft you are happy with. Let me know!
