It's expensive because everyone's rich.  Especially the lawyers.   ;D

demi -

if you want to get your credit rating up, try this, IF your good with your money.

use your card to pay ALL your bills each month.

then, pay off your card every month.

but dont do it if you dont have the discipline.

like moi.

Nonsense.  Trollik says that you need to make $500,000 per year just to get by living in San Francisco.  That's just for the essential expenses, mind you!  A modest car, private school for the children, a trophy wife, a small house in the city, nothing out of the ordinary.

And no butler?  Scandal!

This is something my mother helped my girlfriend with that has turned out to be pretty intuitive.

Each week you take $105 from the bank. Put it in an envelope and each night before bed empty your wallet into a jar, then place $15 for the next day into your wallet. For that day spend no more than that amount, not counting gas or emergencies. Never count how much you have saved and at the end of the month empty the jar and do whatever with the left over cash. Pay bills, save it, go out to dinner, etc.

I’ve already saved almost $500 this semester alone. It's amazing how little you spend when you have the cash in hand and have a limited amount to use. Since I pay my loans quarterly I’ve been putting cash to the side to cover the interest but when I finally have enough I may buy myself a new TV.

It's a flexable system. Use $20 or use $10 or whatever you like/need.  :)
