2 PS topics- help?
« on: October 05, 2006, 09:59:06 AM »
I wrote my personal statement based on my experience advocating for my father (who had a really bad stroke). However, I work in the financial industry and what I really want to do is work for the SEC (Securities & Exch Comm). Because of my interest in the financial arena, I am applying to a few schools which are located in the DC area and/or have securities law programs. Also, my first ps is kinda short so I'm concerned that I don't adequately "make the case" that I am a good LS candidate.

So, I began writing a second personal statement based on my desire to be an atty in the financial industry but all I can seem to eek out is a few paragraphs. And the situation w my dad really had a profound impact on who I am...

Any body interested in reading my 1st PS and the 2 paragraphs I've got on my second one?
I'd certainly be willing to return the favor!!!!!

PM them over.

The appropriateness of Perpetua would probably depend on the tone of the writing.  When I used it, I (half playfully) thought the extra space made the words sort of resonate.
