I found the perfect mechanical pencil. It's .9 so the lead never breaks, and it has a twist-up eraser that's like an inch and a half long. It's also a quality pentel; I did 4 months of LSAT studying and took the LSAT, all with the same pencil.

I brought exactly one pencil to the LSAT. I used that pencil. I like living on the edge.

(Although it was mechanical, and it had plenty of lead.)

i like to live on the edge too. but NOT in this case!!!!!

six pencils, needed them all!! i had two nice mechanicals (.5 and .7) for the LR sections, two normal sharpened pencils (one for LG one for RC), one of those pre-sharpened ones that you use in pre-school for the writing sample, and one of those little pencils without an eraser. . .just in case

i think i'm OCD

why the different types of pencils? do the mechanical pencils help you out more on the LR and the regular ones do well for you on the LG? I don't get it.

Also, who actually uses highlighters? The girl two spaces over kept highlighting during her RC section and it started to really bug me SQUEEEEEAK.

I used highlighters, but I didn't have the squeeking kind, I used Sharpie!   
And I felt as though the highlighting helped me tremendously.  When I was practicing I NEVER highlighted, but on Saturday I made it a point to highlight, and every highlight was a different color.  LOL!  But it really did help me. 

And I only used one pencil.  I took 5 with me though, I had the mechanical kind.

I used my lucky pencil (one of those mechanicals with the twisty eraser).  It broke.  Maybe a sign of things to come....

same here.. I used my lucky red pencil.. but mine didn't break, so hopefully that's a sign as well
