Canadians - US Fee Waiver Roll Call
« on: September 27, 2006, 11:13:56 PM »
I am still  ??? over the rhyme and reason of fee waivers. Provide numbers & waivers. I'll go first.

170/4.19
Duke (email)
Penn (mail)

Update 10/20/06:
Vanderbilt (mail)
Virginia (mail)

That's it...Anyone want to make me jealous and try to explain why the mailman lost my other ones?

171/3.83
NYU, Columbia, Michigan, Duke, Northwestern, UST, Illinois College of Law. Those are all that I can remember, although I don't live at the permanent address that LSAC has, so I am not sure if others have come. Since I only plan on applying to 5 schools I have stopped worrying about it.

No Penn though. darn.

edit: just saw that Penn came via mail and not email. so I may have it.

edit the second: you are aware that some are still hidden right? I have no official notification of NYU and columbia yet.

Michigan, Columbia, NU, Duke. No NYU (checked on LSAC).

I think waiver selection has a random element in it too. So numbers alone don't guarantee anything.

Edit: Penn email 09/29.

Don't have any hidden waivers, which is dissapointing.

But I did get Santa Clara by email...I'll trade for Columbia/Michigan/NYU please. Any takers?

LSAT: 159
CGPA: 3.3

I got ones from University of St. Thomas (never heard of them), Valparaiso (mail) and Northwestern (email). No clue why Northwestern sent me one, my numbers aren't even close.
CGPA: 3.3
LSAT: 159; Oct 06 - ???

LSAT: 161
Grades: 81 average

Last month, I received waivers from St. Thomas and University of Minnesota. Probably because I live only eight hours away from Minneapolis (so those schools would be closer than any school I could go to in Canada! Boo, Thunder Bay)

LSAT: 173
GPA: 3.76

I've gotten NYU, Columbia, Chicago, Michigan, Virginia, Northwestern, Duke, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Santa Clara, Illinois College of Law, Valparaiso, Regent.

I may have gotten a couple others (from schools I didn't apply to) because my address on the LSAC's records was outdated until I changed it at the beginning of October. (Didn't realize schools would be mailing me things yet.) Also, Cornell's letter claimed I had a fee waiver, but when I went to apply, it wasn't online. So, I'm not sure if it worked or not (not applying there anyhow).
