I know a little about Buber (specifically his take on the formation of the state of Israel), but I have never actually read I am Thou.  Unlike a lot of people around here, I'll add. ;)

Im sorry P...

I meant to write.."I and Thou". my mistake

My stepdaughter just told me about a kid who has no good insults.

An example? He called someone a "conceited...bloody...twit."

She apparently prefers "gay" or "fruit."

For years my brother used the combo: "idiot, fool-face"
I'm often wrong

rojo - seriously, if and when I have boyfriend problems, I'm coming to you.

Jobs are hard to come by for poli sci majors.

The solution is to go to law school.  :)

And GC, maybe your friend can tell them that they need to do the complete opposite of what they've been doing.  ;)

Nah, he's not a jealous person.

Plus, I'm never going to let him read this board, for fear that he will fall out of love with me.   :D

i would fling my computer out the window if she who must not be named ever exhibited even a whiff of being interested in reading this board...

I think it would be incredibly interesting to spend an evening with you and your family, rev

that sounds like a threat  :D

in real life, we're incredibly boring.  wait, i'm incredibly boring here, too.....

>:D

I doubt it would be boring. I'd guess closer to awesome.

awww... that's sweet  :)

I leave for an hour, and now that I'm back, I don't know where to post!!!  Where are all of the cool kids and cool not-so-young adults?

Anyway, I'm posting this question here...

http://www.lawschooldiscussion.org/prelaw/index.php/topic,80130.msg1906125/topicseen.html#new

Is this an example of the opposite of Free People?  And if so, what are they called?  Are these the oppressors that keep people like me down?

Seriously, I withdrew from my first stat class, and my second one was taught at night.  I think it involved a coloring book.
It's been brought to my attention that boss is my favorite poster  :-*

Oh man,  I was going to be up all night wondering about that one.

I guess perhaps the fact that the Gretchen thread is your new thread might have been a tip-off.

Will someone tell me who the patriarchy is? Then I will finally be able to get some sleep...

The Patriarchy is what prevents the world from falling apart.  :)

Wait, you said who not what.  Sorry.

The Patriarchy is what prevents the world from falling apart becoming a better, more enlightened place.  :)

Wait, you said who not what.  Sorry.

Fixed it.  :)
