Why Can't He Hear What You're Saying?
Read on for insight into why men misinterpret what we say and how you can make yourself heard.

She might say, "Hey, those earrings are nice!" And nine times out of 10, I do not copy. I might think, Wow, she really likes to talk about jewelry a lot or Wow, does she not realize that I'm not a woman and that I don't care about earrings? Maybe if I'm quiet for long enough she'll change the subject.

so so true.

ladies and germs, there is no need to ever hit your partner (erotic spankings are ok)

if your one of those people that does hit, go get some help.

and if your someone that gets hit, call the police...

I have to ask a question/advice/get this off my chest.

I'm currently with a girl that I've been on-again, off-again with for the better part of a year. I've been with her a few weeks, and I had told her just a couple of weeks ago that I'd see how things would play out instead of breaking things off early. Since then, every time I see her has become a minor drama of "What's wrong, is everything alright?" I do think she loves me and really wants things to work.

Almost by accident a week ago, I met a girl while having Friday drinking night with some friends. We went out this week and things went really well. This girl is awesome, though there is a chance she may be a loon. I guess I'm wanting to be assured that I'm not a shithead for wanting to make a little bit sure that this new girl is alright before breaking up with the first one, even though I don't think things would've worked in the end anyway.

No, I think I want you - someone who is kinda willingly to settle for me as long as someone wonderful doesn't come along. I also want someone who doesn't want to risk being alone by himself!
I think you know the answer to your question - yes you need to break it off with number 1 even if number 2 is a loon.

No, I think I want you - someone who is kinda willingly to settle for me as long as someone wonderful doesn't come along. I also want someone who doesn't want to risk being alone by himself!  I think you should try burning that candle at both ends and see how it works out.

Fair enough, I deserved that. I guess I am an a-hole.
