Will this look odd?
« on: September 13, 2006, 02:27:52 PM »
I just realized that none of my three academic recommenders are currently at my alma mater.  It's only been two years since I've graduated, but one has retired, another has taken a job in a different state, and the third has moved to university in Europe.  I hope that adcomms will understand...

It's only odd if you assume professors never change universities.

Who cares? Can they speak to your performance in the classroom and give concrete examples of your thinking ability as a student? People retire and take new jobs. Do you really think the adcomms care that much about your recommender's current employer?
