Contractions?

Can we use them in our p.s.'s?  I feel like I sound like an uptight prick without them...

I am because that's how I write. It's not an English paper, it's a portrait of your personality and/or accomplishments. I am a firm believer in writing style and word choice communicating personality just as much as what you're actually saying does. Use whatever you feel comfortable using.

To use the response you'll be come quite adept at saying when you get to law school: it depends.

It's probably best to stick with no contractions. However, if they fit with your writing style, then use them.

crap, my style is cold/formal enough as it is...

EDIT: k, i'm just gonna listen to paige and leave them in.  i'm too stubborn to take them out.   ;)
