Don't forget to toss in a law and order reference, and how Jack McCoy is the bestest prosecutor ever, and how the original show is much better than all the others, with SVU coming in at a close second (and the only reason it's second is because they spend less time discussing compelling legal issues.  And, of couse, it doesn't have McCoy)

Careful, goaliechica might be a chica. And need I say more about the rotation of young female sidekicks to Jack McCoy? I might like Angie Harmon as much as the next guy but I can't remember her character on the show or any other she has been in.

I didn't realize BU's application asked for that either, thanks for the heads up (though hopefully my current PS addresses their question adequately because I don't plan on writing another one! Ha!).

It says "significant personal, social or academic". What if i were to talk about professional?

Holy merde, what kind of messed up question does UConn have?

edit: I found it, it says, "Please discuss why you wish to study law".
That's the kind of school I like, straight up

this sounds horribly lazy, but having to write an addional "why i want to study law" personal statement that's just going to sound stupid and trite anyway makes me not want to apply.  bu's a reach for me anyway...

I am betting that many of you applying to BU are like me, and appying to BC as well.  If so, you may want to take a look at the BC PS prompt as well.  It reads "Please provide us with a personal statement that reflects on your capacity for legal study and your desire to enter the legal profession".  There is more, but I won't take a lot of space by adding that here.  With some careful consideration, I would think that one could draft a single essay to satisfy both schools.  Good luck.
