It seems like everytime I post in a thread, a few hours later it moves back a page because people delete their posts. I'm just curious why

Many reasons. When you want to leave the site, you may not want to leave a trail of incriminating posts. You may want to get something out of your unread replies. You may think it's cool to d-dub.
