What's going to happen if sending 4 ROLS when they only ask for one?

I am asking this because I dont know which one I should send to the school I am going to apply for, which only requires one ROL. I asked my pre-law dean, and he told me that sending all. What is the risk disregarding their requirement? Thank you!

How many do they say they accept?  At many schools they only require 1 or 2, but will accept up to 3 or 4?  I'd say choose your two best to send.  Most schools will accept 1 more, but 4 for a school that only requires 1 is definitely overkill.

If you are using the LSAC LOR service you don't have to worry about sending them more letters than they will accept: LSAC just stops sending them the letters. However that means that the school may not get the best one. I agree with MoniLi though, 4 is kind of overkill when they only ask for 1.
