"Top Lawyer Disgraced"

It's silly for a "top lawyer" to break the law for a fee on moving an unimpressive $750,000. A top lawyer in the US would have never taken this risk because they earn much higher salaries.

What's your point?

I think it has much less to do with his salary, and a lot more to do with greed.  How do you know how much he made as an attorney?

And i'm also sure that there are some millionaires out there who have pulled scams for 750,000$... because they're greedy!

He was one of the premier attorneys in the entire eastern Canada.  I think he made a boatload anyway.

Not that I dispute that Canadian attorney salaries are generally lower than US attorney salaries.

Lawyers are supposed to be risk-adverse; good lawyers generally don't do stuff outside of the law unless the reward is significant. Anyway, I dunno... pulling scams for a *fee on* $750k seems pretty strange.

Besides, it appears that he was laundering it for someone else, which means that the money wasn't his, per se, but that he would receive a fee for doing so.
