should I apply at 1-2 more schools?
« on: February 09, 2004, 08:47:13 AM »
I applied at Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa with a 3.57 gpa in molecular biology and a 160. I was deferred at Minn. What are my chances at Iowa and Wisconsin? I want to work in the midwest, should I apply to additional schools? maybe Ohio St or Indiana?

It can't hurt, you should be able to get a fee waiver.

I'll take it from your name that you are a Wisconsin native.  Based on that assumption, I think you have a pretty good shot at UW, and 50/50 at Iowa.  You will probably get in at Luckeye U, and Indiana does not give preference to Indiana residents, so that may be a good bet.

I was wondering if the admit numbers for LSAT and GPA from this year are a lot higher than last year for the schools I applied at (UW-Mad, UMinn, Iowa). If so, maybe I should apply other places to make sure I get in. Did anybody hear anything about this year's admits beyond the people who reported their numbers on lawschoolnumbers.com?
