Exporting One Note to Word

Have you updated the software?  You can to go to microsoft.com and install all of the service packs, etc.

How well does the "export to word" feature work?  Does it export the entire notebook or do you have to do it for each section?  Basically, I am trying to decide if getting Office 2003 is worth it or not so I can use the export to word option.

Haven't tried the feature myself, but if the question is "Is exporting to word an important enough feature to purchase office 2003?", the answer must be no.  IMO.

I just don't like not being able to access my notes from work or elsewhere.

I thinnk it's stupid.  For me, anyway, it just seems to send the active section.

That does sound stupid.  I wish there was a way to send the whole notebook.

I also don't understand why the hell when you backup, and try to open said backup, everything is labeled as backup and looks all goofy.

I use One Note & love it.  I spent the year cutting and pasting my outlines when I updated them.  Then when my boyfriend recently showed me how to save my notes as word files I felt like an idiot.

Go to File, Save As, and then change the Save As Type to a Word Document.

IL -- I think you can get a demo copy from Microsoft to use for 6 months. That's what got me hooked on One Note.

That is hilarious.  You can simply just save it as a word doc?  Does the formatting stay the same?  Lastly, do you do it by section or what?
