Law School business cards

I was wondering seeing these on my school's site, and hearing some people talk about them, do people really get these?  Are they worth buying when you start to hand out to friends/aquaintances?

Your friends and acquaintances should already have your information.  However, for networking purposes they could be beneficial.

I got them just for convenience sake.  They were pretty cheap through my school, and if you're at any kind of event where you can network, it just makes it easier to give out your email/phone number when someone asks for it.

It is definitely great for networking... potential employers AND potential women  ;)

To save time, just put a 'kick me' sign on your back.. To me, having business cards as a student sends out vibes that one is trying too hard. I think I will start carrying out blank cards or something to write information that I want people to have--perfect for separating info you give girls to and info you give employers to, for example. :)

i had them in undergrad as well but i rarely used them. i would get them only for convenience sake--i don't think there is any detriment to having them, however, I need to get savier about those software programs that allow you to scan and sort business cards. i detest having piles of business cards to keep track of

i'm not sure.  sounds a little over the top to me.  i do see how they could come in handy for all the fancy networking in law school.  but still...  so aside from the obvious, what would one put on the card?  class year? law school name?  favorite food?

sexual orientation.

I imagine they'd look like this:

M
LAW
MI6 Agent
Student/feminine hygiene product
Trying too hard since 2006!

Classic. I think law school business cards are reserved for gunners.
