i was on two wailists, no acceptances, and got called yesterday after calling to ask about open spots for the fall. let them know how much you want off the list...at this point it might work.

On tuesday I wrote an email to the director of law admissions, 3 hours later I got a call from him... and got in! He said they were looking at 4 apps and mine was one of them, he never mentioned the email or responded to it, but I can't help but think that it might have given me a little extra push. How likely is it that admissions would call to say you have been rejected from the WL??  I got a call today from admissions asking me to call back, but they were gone for the day by the time I got the message.  Does this mean I am likely in?

One of my classmates here got a call from UC-Davis this afternoon and was admitted off the waitlist. She promptly withdrew and headed to the airport. So there is still at least *some* hope for you guys!

This has certainly been a very strange year as far as waitlists are concerned. I don't really expect they'll follow patterns from last year. That's not to say things aren't gonna move, but I've kind of lost faith in LSN as a good predictor of, well, anything. I certainly can't believe what a hard time Stanford seems to be having filling their class. They've lost like 33% of their waitlist offers; not a good conversion percentage I don't think. And to think, all they'd have to do is call me and they'd have a guaranteed student...oh well...
