I might apply just as a safety. But it makes me wonder about my LSAT addendum: Is it impolite to send an addendum explaining a 6 point LSAT increase when the first score was at the school's 75%ile?

I would think that explaining your increase regardless of what the 75%ile is shows respect to the school. Or you just think of it as the Powell doctrine in law school apps: overwhelming force.

Got an email from W&L saying if I stopped by their table at my UG's fair, they'd give me a waiver. (Think I'll pass on the 700 mile drive to get there.)

Hrmph. You must not really want to go then. A true applicant would gladly drive any number of miles in order to save 60 bucks. Your lack of committment will show through on your app, ensuring your inevitable dingitude from the glorious W&L.
