Washburn U v. South Texas College of Law
« on: August 03, 2006, 12:05:03 AM »
It has come down to these two schools and time is running out. Tuition is about 5-6k difference b/w the two. I don't have any desire to practice law in either KS or TX. Does it really make a difference if Washburn is a 3rd tier vs. STCL 4th tier status?

Are either closer to family/friends, or in the type of place you want to live?
Have you ever considered the practical benefits of force lightning at a barbecue?

STCL has very good employment stats including starting salary. With Houston being a major "energy" hub many oil and gas companies look to hire from both STCL and UH. Also STCL has a steller repuattion in litagation.

STCL has good stats, but the vast majority are working in Houston.  The rep doesn't go too much outside the city.

Topeka is like a vortex that leads to some alternate, bizarre Midwestern universe in which everyone drives a 1996 Chevy Lumina and eats roast beef and potatoes for dinner.

:D

This is even funnier because I just back from business travel in a small town in central Kansas...you nailed it. I'm thinking Fargo.

The choice has to be STCL.
