Personal LORs

It seems some schools want personal LOR, besides the academic. I don't know any judges or lawyers personally. Who do I use? My neighbor or my parents' friends who know me since I was born? Who do you ask?

If it's a character recommendation, I would go with a mentor or adviser, or someone connected with one of your extra-curriculars (volunteer coordinator, coach, etc).  They can speak on your character, committment, etc in a non-academic setting.

All good options. Also consider a boss/supervisor or collegue
