The first true 'gutsy' idea, and one that is actually do-able. Did you try it? The worst that could happen is they could reject you, which they might do anyway.

I'm not Wl'd anywhere, but I was thinking of sending an email of continued interest to Yale highlighting this fact...considering my actual chances at Yale anyway, its not like i'd be throwing anything away.

I was under the impression that additional letters were bad, unless you had something to add.  Now, I plan on writing a continued interest letter to my deferred school highlighting the reasons I want to go.  Maybe I'll be ballsy enough to drop it off in person.
