Chemistry Majors Chances
« on: February 07, 2004, 05:28:08 PM »
Well itís like this my cumulative GPA is not so hot ~2.8.  Iím wondering how much if any the difficulty of my degree will be taken into account.  I graduated from U of A, which is ranked liked 4th in the nation for chemistry.  My LSAT score being a 160, what are my chances for some tier 2 schools?  I hoping that since my score represents the mid 80 %ile it will take precedence over my gpa. If anyone is wondering why someone with a chem. major is applying to law school, itís because Im interested in patent law.

My numbers are similar to yours and I, too, was a chem major at a top program.  I've heard that frequently the instant admits and the instant rejects get sent quickly.  I got my admit letter from a tier two school very soon after they started reviewing files.  I haven't heard either way from the other four schools I applied to.
