I do by Paul Brandt.

Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton.
When you have somebody dying because they are poor and black or poor and white or because of whatever they are ... that erases everything that's great about this country.

A list of songs I hope you don't use:

At last - Etta James
Butterfly Kisses Bob Carlisle
Song for Mamma Boyz II Men
Any songs that call for collective dancing

I'm planning to play "Still the One" by Shania Twain.
And the two songs I mentioned earlier (I Do, Wonderful Tonight).
I also really like "Look at Us" by Vince Gill.
I suppose I'd let my man pick a song lol.

then you have to have some dancing music

i'm imagining country and shagging won't go over very well, or i'd send you our playlist (which is around here somewhere, i'm sure)

I want to play mostly country at my wedding ... but I worry I'd bore the non-country fans (granted it's my wedding and they'll just have to get over it).
What did you play for fast dances?

Duncan Sheik - For you....sweet without being cheesy...I dunno if most know it...so here are the lyrics...

For you I want to sing a happier song
for you I'm gonna try to right all my wrongs
for you I'm gonna break my bad habits
there's a golden ring and I want you to have it
there's a golden ring and I want you

For you I'm gonna sit and patiently wait
it's great if you're early but if its fine if you're late
for you I feel love and I just want to show it
you're a beautiful girl and want you to know it
you're a beautiful girl and want you to know it
you're a beautiful girl and want you to know it
it's an infinite world and I want you

Once again I am opened
Once again I am opened
Once again I am opened
Once again I am opened

For you I'm waiting on the ticket line
I gotta get back I don't wanna waste time
but the people are tired and the line is so long
so all I can do is sing this song

and as a standard...As time goes By...any good version...although the Ella & Louis version is a personal fave....and that's my unsolicited opinion of the day...
Grrr...

You can send it, Pres, I plan on including some country.

Here is my general pattern:

Old song
Modern song
Motown song
Dancey-type song

repeat until CD is filled

I like that.
I like Motown.

Kelly Moneymaker - Can't Live Without Your Love (hard to find but it's a good song)
Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack - Tonight I Celebrate My Love (old song I know)
All-4-One - I Can Love You Like That
Tim McGraw & Faith Hill - It's Your Love
New Edition - I'm Still In Love With You
Luther Vandross - Here & Now
