Thanks for that, guys.  Duly noted.  I'm still not sure how academic transcripts would be procured, though.

Once you're signed up to LSDAS you can print out a form with your name and other information. You sign that form and then ask your school's registar's office to send a copy of your transcript along with that signed form to LSAC for processing.

Whore - Am I missing something? Did you list a completed application?

Also, some schools require (or ask for) separate recommender forms.  For example, Stanford stongly encourages using their form in addition to a letter.

I believe Vanderbilt requires a statement of purpose essay in lieu of a personal statement. It's prompt is more focused on something along the lines of "Why do you want to study law?" rather than "Tell us interesting crap about yourself that we can use in deciding your fate".

Duke allows a Diversity Statement.  In addition to the required P.S., there's an optional essay which can focus on Diversity or an Academic element.

Berkeley asks for a Statement of Purpose.

I just checked Berkeley's application from last year and they don't require a statement of purpose (in fact, they don't even ask for it).  They do require a personal statement that can be about whatever you choose and should be no longer than 4 pages.

Ya, I'm pretty obsessed about Boalt (it's my #1 choice) so I've been going over their website and application and I've never come across anything about a statement of purpose.  They are infamous for their 4 page PS though.  If someone can supply a link about a statement of purpose that would be great.
