I'm considering their law schools but I'm kinda worried about the atmosphere of BC.  Is it as super laid back as everyone says it is?  What's the school life like out there?

thanks  ;D

The natural scenery is world class. B.C. is very liberal about issues like pot, gays, and diversity. However, we're conservative about alcohol. Bars close early and we're not immune to the MTV influence of flashing $ in as many stupid ways possible.

B.C. is great.  Despite the taxes.

Though, if you live in Alberta, you can enjoy all the advantages of B.C., without the taxes and crazy politicians....

All the advantages... except for the beaches and the open-minded people, not to mention the fact that Whistler puts anything in Alberta to shame...

a little tension between you two provinces eh?

I've been to alberta a bunch of times and have nothing but good things to say about it.  BC's one of the few places in Canada that I haven't been but I think I'll visit if I'm seriously thinking about school there.

argh, I just wrote a bloody long message and my computer froze. Blah.

In a nutshell:

Victoria-has anything and everything Toronto and Vancouver has but it's more accessible even without a car and it's on a smaller scale.
