Which Schools Shouldn't be Tier 4

I am surprised to see Michigan State as a T4. It is probably the most well-known of the T4s. They have a solid graduate business school, and they are attached to a Big10 undergraduate.
Anyone know why they are T4? Lack of funding? Lack of drive from faculty? Shoddy administration? I have just been curious about this as all other Big10 law schools are T1/T2, with 3 of the schools T25.

Also, Cleveland State was considered a really nice school by many people I talked to while I was in Cleveland...hm...

It really must be the lower LSAT numbers..

I wonder if that is true? Lansing is a long ways from Detroit. I know that Cooley used to be part of Oakland University, but I am not sure about the MSU/U. Detroit connection.

Maybe it is the realative youth of the university. Although, UNLV is younger and T2/T3

I was really surprised to find out that it was in tier 4.  It has a much ligher local reputation than schools than other schools that are ranked higher.  It was my top choice to attend just because of its connections and its alumni base, even though my numbers and resume were such that I could have easily attended a "higher" school.

No they don't. They used to but they got rid of it.

Yeah I heard (on LSD probably) that they got rid of it very sneakily. I think they did it to boost their numbers i.e. brown nose USNews. I think USNews is bad for law school diversity. All law schools are going to end up McLawSchool because they are all chasing the same brass ring. This can't be good for justice or students or schools or our sacred republic. But I have to admit that I pay close attention to rank. After all I am just a mere fragment bounded by a world that I did not create.
