pseudo interviews
« on: February 04, 2004, 09:09:44 PM »
i recently submitted my apps, and i have heard back fairly quickly from some schools, one school responded back in 3 weeks after i SUBMITTED my app, this school i actually visited...my question is this....even tho schools do not do interviews, it is my opinion that visiting a school, while not an interview per se, is still an interview, when the admissions people go through ur application, they are gonna remember u if u gave them a favorable impression.....i am planning on visiting some more schools that i have yet to get into to get some more clout...i think i am at an advantage because i am pretty well-spoken and outgoing...

just my two cents, what do u guys think?

Maybe there were no responses cuz your issue isn't worthy of any.

It just seems to me that you may or may not benefit from visiting and that it may be pretty random if you do.  It depends if in your visit you're meeting and impressing anyone who is actually on the admissions committee.  If you're not then it is unlikely that they help.  But, what do I know.
