Duke Waitlist Update

What does everyone think of today's email?  Is it even worth trying to get a professor to write an additional lor or is all hope gone for all of us?

My guess is that by now they have a ranked list of last minute WL admits should someone withdraw at this point.  But I'd say go ahead and send in that LOR.  It can't hurt your position, that's for sure. 
That being said, it's getting pretty late.  I wouldn't take up Lacrosse yet.

I was accepted off the WL today.  Got a call from Dean Hoye at 2:15PM PST.  I was pretty excited so I probably sounded like an idiot on the phone, but he didn't seem to mind.

So there is at least still some waitlist movement going on.

Does Duke reject people off the waitlist or do they just wait until school starts?
