New LSAT policy and next year's ranking...
« on: June 17, 2006, 10:15:35 PM »
So does anyone think some schools might not handle the change as well as others, and thusly produce multiple odd 'jumps' next year in the rankings? I'm betting at least a couple schools get knocked down by a big margin (10+) because they don't shift admission policies in the right way to take advantage of new rankings. Guess we'll see...

The next USNWR rankings will be using this years data so we won't really see the effect on rankings until a year from April.  I think there will be some change when this happens but it will be fairly marginal.

Why would it. The new LSAC rule affects multiple LSAT scores reported to LSAC by law schools. US News uses its own criteria which is separate from the rule you are referring to

No, the new policy changes how scores are reported to the ABA.  The ABA is the source of all data used by USNWR.

No, they report to the ABA, then USNWR separately.

US News takes raw data and formulates its own statistics using its own methodology. The US News numbers have absolutely no correlation with the rule you are referring to. US News obtains all of its data directly from law schools not the ABA.

Educate yourself by reading the following before continuing to spew useless information that has no basis in fact
