Are you Canadian?  Is it true Canadians are ridiculously polite?

ha, yes...I'm canadian.  Don't know about the politeness thing

As per the chips .. I would imagine that if Kerry becomes president ketchup chips may become much more available in the US

I'm a Canadian, and I hate ketchup chips.  A few years ago, I also decided that I hate ketchup.  I haven't had any ketchup since.

God help me if I ever get stuck in an airport terminal because Canada ceased to exist in the middle of my flight....  :-\

I hate ketchup, too.  Catsup is OK, though.

the other day, i tried dill pickle flavored chips.  it tasted like dill pickles...and though i didnt like it, it strangely drew me in and made me eat the whole bag.

the same thing happens to me with salt and vinegar.  I eat a few...and they start burning my tongue...but for a strange reason, I just keep eating them.  Then i end up regretting it for like a week after.  I'm such an idiot sometimes.

I love salt and vinegar chips/crips.  It's strange to me that fish and chips in the US aren't served with malt vinegar - the best part.  As for the metric system - wasn't the US supposed to adopt it at one point?  What happened?  I still get confused every now and then and I'm a really bad judge of distance because it still takes forever for me to convert miles into k - but maybe I'm just extra slow because it has been a while since I've been here...
