I'm almost certain, at this point, that I'm going to retake in October.  I *know* I'm capable of much better than I did on this test, especially since I missed at least 3 questions on the (relatively easy) games, plus an untold and possibly high number on LR.  That being said, I'm leaning toward not cancelling, just because I know I didn't bomb it, wasn't ill, etc, plus, it seems that most schools will take the higher score if you do quite badly and then make a 6 or so point improvement.  I think that the highest I could have conceivably gotten on this test was a 169, but I'll probably retake with a 168 knowing that I can always cancel October.  My last 5 preptests were in the 170s.

I plan on getting the LRB and there are still 3 tests that I haven't taken, but it's going to be tougher to study this time and I think will take more self direction.

I think my highest possible score is 166. I think the best I could of done was -8 on LR, -4 LG, -5 on RC for a grand total of -17. If i make below I am def retaking. My practice tests averaged at 168.

170.

If however I knew that schools would take the higher, rather than average, I'd strongly think about retaking below a 175.

I'm feeling pretty optimistic after seeing the stats from Kaplan--a large group of people found the LR the most difficult, which is unusual. So I definitely don't think we'll see a repeat of the Dec. 05 scale (knock on wood), but I highly doubt we'll see one of the amazingly wonderful -12=170 scales either. I bet on 10, maaaaaybe 11 if we're lucky.

Ha-yep. I wish the ABA had SCOTUS-like power to compel law schools to recognize its "ruling" immediately...
