I haven't looked too much into this---If you are planning to apply to law school a second time, do you need a new personal statement and LORs?  ???

Well, I'm not sure, but if your personal statement is pretty good,  I'd say keep it.  I don't know about the LORs.

I agree with pre_law undergrad about the persoal statement but as for the LOR's you have the option to either keep the one's that you used at the first law schools that you applied to or you can regenerate new LOR's if you think that in the interim the LOR's gained more value over the first ones. (Just call/email the prospective law schools in order to find out if you have more liberty in your options i.e.some schools such as U of A allow the same LOR's but reccomend new ones, while reccomending to keep the personal statement the same unless your situations or experiences have changed enough to include them in you PS).
