$1600 for 1BR newly remoled brownstone apt directly on a park in Downtown Jersey City.  I'm going to CUNY Law in Queens, but it's only a 35-40 minute drive. If I lived in Manhattan, I'd pay twice as much in rent, not have such a beautiful place, and still have a 40 minute commute (that included subway & bus). So, I feel like it's a great deal! It feels so Park Slopey.

For $1600 you could just move to Park Slope  ;)

me and my wife...   we're the only married couple in the complex  ;D

Oh man, My fiance and I would kill each other living in that small of a space! I think the last apartment I had that was that small was when I lived in DC.

As it is, we're glad we're going into a two bedroom -- we each need alone time.

we've been married 23 years.  if we were gonna do each other in, it would have been long ago!  i will have a tiny 'study' in the one bedroom, and we'll sleep on a futon on the living room floor.  we sleep on a futon anyways, so it doesnt matter.  i expect that i'll be in the library a lot anyways

Ok, I'm mad! Everyone has found a place to live in their price range.

Why can't I find a 1br or studio in Baltimore for under 800?

$625/month two-room studio across the street from the law quad. All utilites except internet/cable, street parking.

This is pretty much a steal for this location in Ann Arbor.

I and my roommate pay 2000$ for 2 bedroom house, that is located in 1 hour with public transport from our university. At the first glance, we thought that spacious house we have for this money is UNBELIEVABLE and it was the best deal in our lives, but after a brief research, I've found that somehow we are overpaying. For example, the same 2bedroom house, but not so large now costs 1000$ which is twice cheaper. What a dumbs we are  >:( Make it sure for your own:

Now we are waiting for our lease termination, thought of escape, but the laws in AZ can make us responsible for landlord's
expenses. With the help of rental services online, apartments became much more affordable. Hate realtors! They always cheating, rising up prices without any reason.
