I was a pretty big A's fan as a kid. Went to a lot of games, and just loved those late 80s teams.

My favorite players were McGwire (tarnished memories now) and Dave Stewart, but they were all great. Canseco, Rickey Henderson, Terry Steinbach, Carney Lansford, Eck ... the list goes on.

For Saxby's sake, let me just point out that Dave Stewart absolutely owned Roger Clemens in big games.
Columbia 2L.

Growing up in Kansas City, there's really only one player who truly personified the Royals and that's George Brett.  He's pretty much the face of the franchise and I really loved watching him.

Rey Ordonez or Bobby Bonilla.
Mets will take the NL Pennant.
