How 'bout just ONE civil contract between two people, to ensure that they are non-blood related, but still the #1 next-of-kin.
then take marriage out of official documents and make it a "religious" thing

this is my position

if your secondary position is bent over... then I'm in love.

unfortunately or fortunately, whatever your view is, I prefer the company of women ;)
They say, "Evil prevails when good men fail to act." What they ought to say is, "Evil prevails."

Do it now!!!!

Agreed! State interfernce with the institution of marriage has only caused less people to want to be married.

btw this whole problem was created by liberal judges who believe its their job to make laws. republicans wouldnt have to do all this crap if liberals didnt appoint power hungry judges.

The saddest thing is that I think you actually believe this tripe.

This whole problem was created by Republicans who need morons and bigots to vote for them.

no where did i say anything that would infer that we should strive to be like them, other than ben franklin who was a pimp, but anyways in ending slavery we amended the consititution, we didnt just saw ohhh blacks are now people too because blacks were never meant to be people when it was written, so we changed the document so that now slavery is illegal

Typical liberal response.  Marriage is under attack.  Why don't we just let men marry billy goats?

And what do you have against billy goats?  How do you know your great-great-grandfather wasn't a billy goat?  ;)

I'm pretty sure it's actually billy goats who are under attack.

There would never be a gay wedding between a man and a billy goat.
it'd be a William Goat.

gays don't like nicknames.

During yesterdays senate debate on a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, Sen James M. Inhofe (R-Okla) stood by a large portrait of his family and offered the following:

"As you see here, and I think this is maybe the most important prop [the photo] we'll have during the entire debate, my wife and I have been married 47 years. We have 20 kids and grandkids. I'm really proud to say that in the recorded history of our family, we've never had a divorce or any kind of homosexual relationship."
