If someone went to confession for things like that, I'm sure the penance would be very different.

There are mortal sins and venial sins. Sort of  like the difference between a felony and a misdemeanor.

honestly, that didn't totally make sense to me when I heard it. I guess the idea is to avoid sitting around, fantasizing all day
