NJ Governor Resigns AND Comes Out

Wow. Everyone thought that Gov. James McGreevey (D-NJ) was going to resign today due to a plethora of corruption charges. But it turns out he had an extramarital affair with another man. He said: "I am a gay American." Not sure if he mentioned corruption charges....

I just saw the press conference. That really was out of the blue...  all of a sudden he announces that he's gay, had an affair with another man, and  resigned. I feel bad for him, and his family. I can't even imagine how hard this must be for them.

McGreevey is married. He had an extramarital affair with a man.... He is postponing his resignation until Nov. 15 so that there doesn't have to be a special election on General Election Day. This is so his Democratic cronies can maintain power.... Ridiculous. Let the people elect a new Governor if you are going to resign....

The caption on the bottom of the screen one the channel  I saw said : "McGreevy Admits He is Gay"  I know its terrible, and not funny at all, but I just started cracking up. I couldn't help it

Watch the remarks about Jersey.  I grew up there and look at me.

It is ironic that he's Catholic.  Well, it is to me.

back in my days of being crass and callous, i would have said some nice smart ass retort to that.  but since im a nice guy now, im sorry :)

but i dont find it ironic that he's catholic.  otherwise, i would find irony in these catholic priests molesting children as well.
