Important if you plan on studying in the States

So it seems there are a few Canadians and I have a pretty important question for you guys, I think.  I'm an American at U of T.  My GPA is decent when compared to American law students (3.5).  But for U of T, I think that definitely towards the higher end of the spectrum.  Do American adcomms know that Canadian schools are impossible?  Or will they frown upon my not-super-high GPA?  Will they give our Canadian degrees some sort of special treatment bc the average GPA at most of the schools here is a 2.00 or something like that?

I also go to U of T ... what are you taking?  I'm in Nsci but I'm also majoring in economics.  Why?  i have no idea. ....

That would be pretty good.  I think it makes sense, the standards definitely seem pretty tough here as compared with what my friends have experienced at schools in the US.

plus if you sort through some lawschoolnumber data you can see that canadians did quite well for themselves in the admission process.

I'm a Journalism specialist (new program, I think that's what it's called) and an English major.  Are you going into fourth year as well?
That's pretty super that the adcomms realize that our GPAs are special.  My ex-girlfriend's mom was head of the biology dept. at University of Cincinnati.  A few years ago she told me that the minimum req. was 3.7 for her program.  Although, she routinely admitted people from Canadian schools with a 3.3.  But I figured she would do so because her daughter was at Mcgill and she knew that GPAs were lower.  But good to know.  Very good to know.  I've been put in a pretty good mood for the rest of the day.
