All those books and stuff...it definitely seems hostile to most conservatives.

It depends. Business and Engineering programs less so, law and education more so.

I agree that it depends.  There are so many factors that can influence whether or not an individual perceives an environment as being hostile that it is almost impossible to quantify "academic institutions" in this manner.

Ass Burgers

I seriously doubt that academic institutions are hostile toward anything.  There may be more of a leftward slant but no one is getting jumped after class for suggesting we get rid of minimum wage.

Agreed.  Although there are academic institutions that can be said to hold a rightward slant.

Ass Burgers

Sure, of course.

Hypocritical liberal

<-------------------

jsia.

I always find it amusingly ironic when either a conservative or a liberal goes off on how intolerant and "hostile" those of opposing viewpoints are.

Okay, enough.

Tolerant liberal, really.

<------------------

Extremely left wing on most issues, but tolerant of anyone that respects another human being's right to his/her own opinion.  Conservatives, (neo-cons), etc.
