Law School Discussion

So I changed my ethnicity to African-American on my social security file

To better reflect my heritage. I'm sure it won't hurt my chances at schools either.

I didn't know social security asked that.

Me neither but I had to get a replacement card and apparently that's one of the questions they ask. :o

So what is your ethnic background?

I just got a new one too; they did ask that.  Yep, I'm officially black now :D

My parents are Persian but I'm pretty sure I was adopted. I've been saying it since I was like 5 too.

Persian is the new black?

Toogie, many people wish they were actually adopted -- that doesn't make it so.
Anyway, does SS have a biracial or multiracial category?

What I'm not Black enough for you? My lighter skin doesn't hold up? That's racist.
Besides I look Black, I look nothing like either of my parents.

Hey I don't judge black by skin color. That would make me a hypocrite.
However I have never known a Persian who considered him/herself black or looked black.
