I think a bigger problem is simply getting into school at that age--I was 19 when I first applied to a horde of schools, and got waitlisted almost across the board... when I frankly asked the admissions people what was up, they indicated that my age was a negatively contributing factor. They just like to see more life experience before law school... obviously, there are exceptions.

For better or worse, I wasn't one of them ;) Even though I'm just a little older, the past admission cycle was very different, and I found myself staring at $$ offers from T14 schools. I'll be 21 when I start at UVA this fall, and am glad I had the extra time, as I got to do a range of things that I would have otherwise never gotten around to.

Oh no, I am sure that I want to go to law school.  I want to be just like Skip on Boston Legal.

like who?

Boston Legal was a really cool show.  Skip was this lawyer who finished law school early but couldn't get a job because of his age.  He was so awesome.  You should buy the dvd set and watch it.

how about dougie howser?  :D

my favorite episode being the one where he's out on a date and his girlfriend has appendicitis and he has to perform a vaginal examination on her.

I can't think of Dr. Quinn without associating the word "motorboat."

What the frick is your rush?  Enjoy your time in college.  It's the best 4-6 years of your life.  Work sucks.  It will for many, many years.  Why rush to it?
