how about when the Simpsons went to Canada?

Canadian Guy: We're closing in 5 minutes.
Homer: Would an American dollar change your mind?
Canadian Guy: Would it?!? :o When would you like breakfast, sir?

Sadly, that episode's initial airing was worthy of national news attention.

yeah, i def. not the patriotism one ... I think we use the word nationalism ... muh .. i've confused myself

Many Canadians are proud to not be American, but that's another issue...

I was in Vienna last year and realized that I was wearing an american eagle hat.  Anyways, i countered the effect with a rather large Canadian flag button ... HAHAH

oh, and just how big *is* Matthew Good in Canada? He's one of my favorite artists, but gets no attention in the U.S. He strikes me as being incredibly nationalistic.

Definitely alot bigger than he is in the US.  It's a similar deal to the the US in alot of ways though, rock doesn't really get much airplay on the big radio and tv stations.

True.  I have to admit that I'm not really a big fan of many Canadian bands these days, only Hot Hot Heat makes it onto my playlist...
