I've lived where the population is 6% caucasion. Don't tell me that I don't know what it's like to be a minority.

Okay I have been seeking an answer to this question for sometime now. I am of very mixed race. 25% is the most I have of any racial background and I'm 25% mexican. Does that make me a Mexican American (and perhaps more importantly a URM)? I voted somewhat sarcastically on that poll that I'd because a URM because I have no faith in my own merit, but in reality I have great faith in my own merit. But *&^%, if being mexican would give me a boost, I'll take that.

Isn't it something like 1/8? If you're 1/8 Mexican, that qualifies you as Mexican? That's a number I remember hearing years ago, so don't quote me.
