ok new topic.  what are best vacation spots in asia?

for shopaholics:  Singapore

for people wanting to chill:  Bali

yea, but shopping is never cheap.  i hate shopping personally.  burma or myanmar i guess is pretty bad.  i was reading some articles while I was in India about how corrupt the government is and how desolate their future is.  after we invaded iraq, the junta pretty much told people that they should not get hopeful because that will never happen in burma.

This is true, him being Mongolian and all, but he sure did bone many a Chinese lady to produce his many sons and future clan leaders.

So I'm not sure he thought Chinese were all that bad.

Oh, please - everyone knows hands down that HK is the best place in the world to shop!  Nothing comes close.


I loathe all the Asian cities that have become too touristy - like Bangkok.  Also, my friend was in Colombo, SL, not too long ago and they wanted her strip-searched for a bomb!  Not going there any time soon...also, I always get harassed when I go to Tibet, so that sort of detracts from the beauty of the visit...hmmm - Guangzhou is horrible (poor Gummibearz).  Otherwise, I pretty much love Asia!  So beautiful, so much to do, so much culture and history!

I have to agree, Hong Kong is very nice.
But you left out a polluted, New York City wannabe called Shanghai.
